Numerous conflicts in the Mideast have resulted in immense migrations of people just struggling to survive. My heart sinks facing these facts. As so many have attempted, they cross the agitated waters of the Mediterranean to find safe haven, but at what price. And we, who are responsible for the turmoil that causes such grief and tragedy, wash our hands of responsibility.
